RECIPIENT OF TWO E-GOV PIONEER AWARDS — Dev Technology’s development expertise was formally recognized when two of the projects it supported were awarded with 2004 E-Gov Pioneer Awards.
- NATIONAL FILE TRACKING SYSTEM (NFTS) — Dev Technology’s role on this project was to lead the design and development of the Oracle database and contribute to the overall architecture of the NFTS which improved the quality of citizen and immigrant file tracking for DHS’ U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service. This system was the first nationally deployed Web-based system within the former INS. The effort also included conversion of over 80 legacy databases to a centralized Oracle database.
- STUDENT EXCHANGE VISITOR INFORMATION SYSTEM (SEVIS) — Under Congressional pressure with aggressive deadlines after the events of 9/11, Dev Technology worked on a team to implement a system to increase homeland security by tracking foreign students and exchange visitors during their stay in the U.S. Dev Technology led the design and development of the Oracle database as well as provided Java/J2EE development as a member of an EDS led team.
