Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant position will provide broad accounting support to the Director of Finance and Contracts in the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, general accounting activities and subcontract administration activities.

Qualified candidates should possess the following education, experience and skills:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting required with a minimum of one year of related accounting experience with accounting software and reporting experience (Deltek GCS Premier preferred).
• Proficient with MS Office suite and strong keyboarding/typing/keypad skills. Must have Excel expertise.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of basic GAAP accounting principles.
• Knowledge of government contracting industry and federal travel regulations highly desired.
• High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Highly organized with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
